One is eager: Romelu Lukaku goes through the roof in the stands at penalty save from Thibaut Courtois

No Romelu Lukaku on the field against the Canadians yesterday. A hamstring injury meant that the attacker of the Red Devils had to follow the game from the stands. But he empathized even more with his teammates if possible, and that did not go unnoticed on social media.

Romelu Lukaku is working hard on his comeback, but the match against the Canadians came too early. According to the medical staff of the Devils, the third group match against Croatia next Thursday should be feasible. The player himself has – driven as always – indicated internally that he hopes to be available against Morocco next Sunday.

Anyway, Lukaku was in the stands yesterday and clearly sympathized with his teammates, who saw stars against Canada. This is evident from the images that have surfaced of the moment Thibaut Courtois stops Alphonso Davies’ penalty kick. A clearly tense Lukaku, flanked by physiotherapist Lieven Maesschalck, jumps straight – oh woe to that hamstring! – and walks forward with a clenched fist. For those in doubt: Lukaku is eager to get on the field himself.
