The Canadian Bobsledder Christine de Bruin has been suspended for 3 years. The wife of the Dutch bobber Ivo de Bruin tested positive for doping at the end of August.
Ligandrol was found at De Bruin, who finished 3rd in the monobob at the Beijing Olympics in February, Canadian media reported. That is a prohibited substance to strengthen muscle mass.
De Bruin was initially suspended for 4 years. Because the 33-year-old bobsleigh admitted the offense, the sentence was reduced to 3 years.
