What a comeback! Romelu Lukaku only needs ten minutes for the first Champions League goal after injury

Inter easily won against Viktoria Pilzen on Wednesday in the evening: 4-0. At the Nerazzurri Romelu Lukaku was back on the bench after almost two months of injury. The Belgian number nine saw his competitor score twice, was eventually allowed to come in for ten minutes and kicked the last goal against the ropes himself.

Inter quickly secured the 1/8th finals. Henrikh Mkhitaryan (35′) and Edin Dzeko (42′ and 66′), the replacement for Lukaku in the past period, put the 3-0 on the board.

In minute 83 it was finally time: Lukaku was finally allowed to play a game again after two months of absence due to a hamstring injury. Our compatriot came in very diligently and almost immediately tried a bicycle kick, but he missed the ball.

A few minutes later it did. On a pass from Joaquin Correa, who also came in, Lukaku scored his second goal of the season. That did not satisfy his hunger, because the Red Devil only put Correa in front of goal after a nice rush. Too bad the Argentinian couldn’t finish, but Big Rom’s impressive raid has given the citizen courage.
