Antoine Griezmann scores Olympic goal and guides Atlético Madrid past Real Betis

Antoine Griezmann turned out to be the star of service at Atlético Madrid on Sunday on the eleventh match day of La Liga with two goals: 1-2.

After a scoreless first half, the host first saw Luiz Henrique’s opening goal disallowed. Not much later, Griezmann opened the debates in the 54th minute – with an Olympic goal! — and doubled the margin in the 71st minute. Nabil Fekir (84.) softened in the last minutes.

Axel Witsel played 90 minutes in the Atlético midfield and Yannick Carrasco came in at the start of the final quarter.

Atlético thus moves to third place in the general classification of the Spanish first division with 23 points.
