Shame! Geert Nentjes just not up to the challenge of experienced Ratajski on Euro Tour 11

Geert Nentjes was unable to surprise in the second round of the German Darts Open with a victory over Krzysztof Ratajski. The Urker showed Josh Rock all corners of the dartboard on Friday evening, but the Pole was a step too high: 3-6.

Nevertheless, Nentjes – number 80 in the world – has won important prize money in the Euro Tour weekend. The Netherlands dropped somewhat in the past year, but has shown a strong level again in recent months.

Nentjes makes it exciting

The Polish Eagle in The Spear went together at the start of the match. Still, it was the more experienced Pole who slowly took the game to himself.

The Pole took the 6th leg from the Dutchman with an 80th finish and extended his lead to 4-2. Their own legs were kept (5-3) and so Nentjes had to start. With a 78-finish, the 24-year-old threw himself to the break (5-4) which was quickly followed by the equalizer (5-5).

Ratajski had saved his best leg for last. Via double 32 he let the Dutchman lose 6-5.
