The play-offs caused drama in Slovakia and Northern Ireland on Thursday evening. In the play-off of the Conference League between Slovan Bratislava and the Bosnian Zrinjski, things went wrong for the away team in the 122nd minute. Slovakia’s Bratislava scored and then won on pinball. At Linfield-RFS it was all even more dramatic.
In Northern Ireland, the home team thought they would win 1-0 in extra time. After the 2-2 at RFS, Linfield was already celebrating. In the 120+1st minute, Jimmy Gallacher became Northern Ireland’s most depressed man. He worked the ball into his own goal.
Penalty kicks wrong too
The broken Northern Irish then missed the first 2 penalties and saw RFS advance to the Conference League.
