Dortmund youngsters force a turnaround against Freiburg in the final phase, replaced Thomas Meunier at halftime

In the opener of the second day of the Bundesliga visiting Freiburg, Borussia Dortmund forced a turnaround in the final phase. A 1-0 deficit was converted into a 1-3 win on Friday-evening.

Michael Gregoritsch (35.) took care of a 1-0 halftime score. The host kept a view of the victory for a long time afterwards. However, 18-year-old Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (77.) and 17-year-old Youssoufa Moukoko (84.) still managed to get a three-pointer out of the fire for BVB. Marius Wolf (88.) took away the last doubts.

Both Thomas Meunier and Thorgan Hazard started in the base with the visitors. Meunier stayed in the changing rooms halfway through, while Hazard made way for Bynoe-Gittens in the 64th minute. Hugo Siquet didn’t get a chance to play on the other side.

Dortmund is currently the only leader in the German first division with a perfect report of 6 out of 6. Freiburg has 3 points after two rounds of play.
