Former international John van Loen becomes trainer of FC Locomotive Tbilisi

John van Loen is the new trainer of FC Locomotive Tbilisi. The 57-year-old Utrechter signs a contract for 5 months with the option for 1 year.

The former player of FC Utrecht, Ajax, Feyenoord, Roda JC and Anderlecht, among others, was the trainer of amateur club VVZ’49 from Soest this season. He stopped there just before the end of the competition. Before that, Van Loen was a trainer of the amateurs of SVL (Langbroek), Roda’46 (Leusden) and CSV Apeldoorn.

Van Loen, who came to 7 international matches, moved to Azerbaijan in 2014 to become head of youth training. Now Van Loen continues his career at FC Locomotive Tbilisi in the highest division of Georgia.
