Danny Noppert on fire ! Almost in the top 10 of the PDC world ranking

Darter Danny Noppert has his sights set on the top 10 of the PDC world ranking, the Order of Merit. The Dutchman is now in 11th place and that is his highest ranking ever. He owes that high place partly to his place in the final of the Dutch Darts Championship.

Last weekend, Noppert lost 8-7 to Michael Smith, the number 4 of the Order of Merit, in that final. But thanks to his place in the final, he was allowed to add almost 12,000 euros, which means that he is now 11th. However, the difference with the number 10, former world champion Rob Cross, is still large: more than 50,000 euros.

The top 5 of the PDC ranking is as follows:

1 Peter Wright – 1.424.624 euro
2 Gerwyn Price – 1398503 euro
3 Michael van Gerwen – 782,457 euros

4 Michael Smith – 743.129 euro
5 James Wade – 681,495 euros
