Lecat started his professional volleyball career with Guibertin (2009-2011) and in recent years played at Asse-Lennik (2012-2013), Maaseik (2013-2015) and Aalst (2020-2021). In between, he also tasted an Italian adventure with Verona (2015-2017), Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia (2017-2018) and Peimar Volley (2019-2020), respectively. In the French Ligue A he played one season for Narbonne (2018-2019). This season, Lecat, who also has matches with the Red Dragons, was on the payroll of Al Arabi SC Doha, a team that plays in the Qatar League and with which he won silver at the Asian Club Championship in October, until New Years.
“Knack Volley Roeselare welcomes François to his new team, where he will see a lot of players from his period with the Red Dragons,” the West Flemings said.
National champion Roeselare ended the agreement with Filip Gavenda in mutual consultation at the end of last year. The Slovakian main attacker signed a one-year contract with the West Flemish in May of 2021. (Belgian)
