National champions Roeselare suffered a heavy home defeat on Tuesday on the second day of the Champions League volley for men’s teams. The West Flemish lost in their own room against the Polish Jastrzebski Wegiel 0-3. The set positions were 18-25, 20-25 and 23-25.

Roeselare defeated the German VfB Friedrichshafen on the first match day in group A 2-3. On the third day of play, on January 12, the West Flemish will make the trip to the Bulgarian Hebar Pazardzhik.
The five group winners and the best three runners-up qualify for the quarter-finals. Maaseik will play in group B at home against the Russian Dinamo Moscow later on Tuesday.
