Kangaroos Mechelen easily wins regional derby topper from Phantoms Boom

The topper of the third matchday in the first division for women (Top Division Women) was easily won by Kangaroos Mechelen. The Maneblussers triumphed in the regional derby 47-77 at Phantoms Boom. Only three teams count the maximum. Kangaroos Mechelen, Castors Braine and Liège Panthers. This trio achieved a 2 out of 2. Easy win in the regional derby and for Kangaroos Mechelen. After a 10-12 score, Billie Massey (11 points), Lut De Meyer (13 points), the double-double Becky Massey (15 points, 11 rebounds) and Laure Resimont (21 points, including 6 on 11 three-pointers) to 22-33 (half time) and 39-55 bonus. In the final quarter, the Maneblussers secured the collective victory. Kortrijk Spurs took 60-51 against Spirou Charleroi via the duo Silke Storme (11 points) and Lisa Foucart (12 points). Sparta Laarne won on the road at Pepinster and with 79-43. Marie Van Den Broecke became top scorer with the East Flemish with 15 points.
