The David Beckham of tennis: Australian unleashes miraculous ‘banana ball’

James Duckworth is a name that does not immediately sound very familiar. The Australian qualified for the quarter-finals of the Astana ATP tournament this week by beating Mikhail Kukishkin in two sets (7-6, 6-1). Along the way, 29-year-old Duckworth, the world’s number 65, made a brilliant point. He knocked the bewildered Kazakh to the net with a bow ball. Bend it like Beckham? No, bend it like Duckworth!
