The Belgian volleyball men (FIVB 22) on Saturday won their third group match at the European Championship 3-0 against Greece (FIVB 34). The set positions in Krakow, Poland, were 25-16, 25-22 and 25-22.
The troops of national coach Fernando Munoz opened on Thursday with a 1-3 defeat against outgoing European champions Serbia (FIVB 9). On Friday, Portugal (FIVB 40) surprisingly proved too strong with 2-3. On Monday (8:30 pm) the Red Dragons will play against host country and reigning world champion Poland (FIVB 2), coached by Vital Heynen, and on Tuesday (8:30 pm) they will close against Ukraine (FIVB 24).
With four points, Belgium is currently in second place in the standings.
The top four of the four groups advance to the eighth finals. They will be completed between 11 and 13 September. The final will take place on September 19 in Katowice, Poland.
