Blamage for Feyenoord in Conference League: no goals against club from Kosovo

Feyenoord has had a very difficult start to the Conference League adventure. On a visit to Kosovo it was 0-0 against Drita. Not a good start for the team from Rotterdam, who can rectify this draw next week.

For trainer Arne Slot it was his 1st real test with Feyenoord. In the striker Naoufal Bannis got a chance, Leroy Fer functioned as central defender. In the 1st half, possession of the ball was for the Rotterdammers, but it did not lead to many opportunities. Bannis had a few chances to open the score, but Drita and Feyenoord went into the break 0-0.

After the tea, Feyenoord did not score that important goal either. And that while Drita is – to be fair – ‘only’ a football club from Kosovo. Next week Feyenoord must ensure that the diptych is decided in Rotterdam’s favor at home.

Long gone
FC Luzern from Switzerland awaits in the 3rd preliminary round of the Conference League. If that match is won by Feyenoord, the play-offs are still waiting. Only when the play-offs are also won, Feyenoord will participate in the main tournament.
