Russia Club consults for Pedro and Muniz and Flamengo stipulates value for sale

Forward Pedro, from Flamengo, aroused the interest of Russian football. Krasnodar, local first division club, got in touch with Flamengo last Friday to find out the conditions desired by the board for a possible negotiation.

However, the answer was firm: Flamengo stated that it has no interest in getting rid of the athlete and that it does not accept to negotiate for less than 60 million euros (about R$360 million at the current price).

To representatives of Pedro, Krasnodar had signaled with a salary proposal considered above average for the center forward. He has a contract with Flamengo until December 2025 and was bought by the club at the end of 2020 for a total of 16 million euros.

In the current season, Pedro has scored 10 goals in 21 games for Flamengo. He was called up for the Olympic selection, but the board chose not to release him.

The process, however, was not simple, and the club had to go to the STJD to ensure the lineup of the striker. During the episode, the player was still sidelined for 10 days after contracting Covid-19.

Without Pedro, Krasnodar is also interested in Rodrigo Muniz. The Russians are talking to the striker’s representatives, but have not made a proposal to Flamengo, who wants at least 8 million euros for the young man.

Pedro was reserve in the match against Defensa y Justicia, by Libertadores. He is training normally with the squad for the game against Bahia, this Sunday, for the Brazilian Championship.
