Knack Volley Roeselare has attracted the Est Märt Tammearu. He signed a contract with the national champion for two seasons, the club confirms on Thursday.
Twenty-year-old Tammearu (1m98) comes to Roeselare to man the reception corner position next to Matthijs Verhanneman, Mathijs Desmet and Stijn van Schie. He will experience his first foreign adventure in West Flanders.
In recent seasons, Tammearu has played domestically for VK Pärnu (2016-2018) and Bigbank Tartu (2018-2021). With the latter club he became champion in the Estonian league last season.
Tammearu has been part of the selection of the national team since 2018. Estonia will soon be an opponent of Belgium in the European Golden League.
Earlier this month, Roeselare became champion for the twelfth time after winning the final of the play-offs against eternal rival Maaseik.
