Journalist claims that Renato Gaúcho wants to train Flamengo

In the last days Grêmio was eliminated from the Copa Libertadores, the club from Rio Grande do Sul fell to Independiente Del Valle, in the phase that precedes the groups. With that, the coach Renato Gaúcho left the command of the tricolor and a journalist confirmed that the coach wants to train Flamengo.

It is worth remembering that Renato Portaluppi, rejected a proposal from Al Nassr, where he would receive about R $ 20 million reais per season (approximately R $ 1.6 million reais per month), who, after Ranato’s refusal, hired Mano Menezes.

Müller, a former player and now a commentator on TV Gazeta, said that in conversation with Renato Gaúcho, the coach stated that he had refused a proposal from the Arab world to remain in Grêmio.

“He received a proposal from Saudi Arabia to earn R $ 20 million a year and he didn’t want to. Of course he is financially successful and Mano [Menezes] it was in his place. Renato refuted and they caught Mano ”said Müller during the ‘Mesa Redonda’ program.

After leaving Grêmio, Renato now becomes the shadow of coaches who are in a bad phase, such as Cuca (Atlético MG), Mancini (Corinthians) and Rogério Ceni (Flamengo).

“Renato has a great dream of running Flamengo. I’ve said it two hundred times publicly and he said it to me again too. He said: ‘Müller, the only club I would like to coach is Flamengo, because it is great. It’s in Rio, my home, my family is there ‘. Of course, not now because they have to respect Rogério Ceni, who does a great job there. Now, if he could choose, the priority would be Flamengo ”, revealed Müller.
