Kevin De Bruyne extended his contract for four seasons with Manchester City last week. Raheem Sterling also hopes to do the same and just like De Bruyne, the 26-year-old Briton is negotiating with his club without a broker.
Raheem Sterling broke up with his manager Aidy Ward last year and founded his own brokerage firm. Because it is illegal for players to act as intermediaries, his mother Nadine Clarke is officially the sole administrator of 16ninetytwo Sports Management Limited.
Sterling still has a contract for two seasons with Manchester City, but wants to see his deal broken open. For this he does appeal to a few lawyers, but no longer to managers.
MONEYTIME.City saved 10 million because Kevin De Bruyne negotiated himself (and what about Remco Evenepoel’s contract?)
