On Thursday evening, the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals were scheduled. Belgians no longer played with it, but a number of top teams and old acquaintances did. An overview.
Ajax – AS Roma 1-2
Ajax has missed an opportunity to take an option for a place in the semi-finals. Davy Klaassen brought the team from Amsterdam to 1-0 in the first half. Dusan Tadic got the chance to make it 2-0 after the break, but missed from the spot. Arsenal v Slavia Prague 1-1
Arsenal is not yet in the semi-finals of the Europa League. It played a draw on Thursday-evening against Nicolae Stanciu’s Slavia Prague. The two goals of Nicolas Pepe and Tomas Holes both fell in the end of the match.
Dinamo Zagreb – Villarreal 0-1
Villarreal fulfilled his favorite role on Thursday evening. It went with a 0-1 win in and against Zagbreb. Gerard Moreno scored the only goal of the match from the spot just before half-time.
Granada – Manchester United 0-2
Manchester United has also managed to win its first match against Granada. Marcus Rashford brought the Red Devils to 0-1 just past half an hour. He is the first player since Cristiano Ronaldo to score more than 20 goals for United in two consecutive seasons. Bruno Fernandes made it 0-2 in the end with a striking penalty kick.
